Nerkeza Andjelic

Dr. Nerkeza Andjelic is an international medical graduate with diverse experience encompassing comprehensive ophthalmology, family medicine, occupational medicine adult and pediatric care. Two years ago she had the opportunity to join MHA group at UBC Faculty of Medicine, School of Population and Public Health and recently graduated from the program. Throughout the last year of her master studies she worked with VCH doing her research on risk management and integrated risk management in reference to health care.

She volunteers with British Columbia Paraplegic Association on developing and presenting educational materials, specifically for health issues affecting people with spinal cord injuries. She joined the Community SCI Resource Centre in order to help closing the gap between researchers and community by making relevant research accessible and understandable to consumers.

Nerkeza is happy to be a part of diverse group of talented individuals who are focused on cutting edge research and the transfer of high quality evidence from research into effective changes in clinical practice, products and health policies. Her interest is prevention of spinal cord juries and improvement of quality of life after SCI.

Nerkeza spends her free time on soccer field with her two teenage boys who are enthusiastic soccer players. She is an avid reader, speaks four languages in addition to English and she is a passionate soccer fun.
